Dec. 29 (UPI) -- Stanford star Bryce Love might have missed the end of the Alamo Bowl due to an injury, but he made a cameo in one fan's selfie after the final whistle.
Love's Cardinal lost the matchup 39-37 Thursday at the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas. Some players wouldn't be in the mood to field selfie requests after losing possibly the final game of their college career.
But Love obliged.
As national TV broadcast cameras panned to the two teams sending each other off with postgame handshakes, they also caught a boy running up to Love. Coleman Leonard walked up to the running back, while wearing a purple TCU shirt. He took off the Horned Frogs apparel to reveal a Stanford shirt underneath.
"C'mon guys, its THE Bryce Love," Leonard tweeted as the caption with the selfie Friday morning.
Leonard elaborated on why he chose to get the picture with a Cardinal player.
"I've got pictures with every TCU player already so I thought might as well take one with the Heisman runner up," he tweeted.

"I've been going to TCU home games for 17 years," Coleman tweeted. "I've went to the rose bowl and both Alamo bowls. Both my parents, my aunt, and my grandmother went there. I love TCU but you can't pass up on a pic with Bryce Love."
Love had a game-high 145 rushing yards and two scores on 26 carries. If he decides to leave Stanford, he is penciled in as a late first-round or early second-round selection in the 2018 NFL Draft.
Leonard said he was applying to Stanford.
Love 'liked' Leonard's Twitter selfie.
