MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. -- Junior quarterback Malik Rosier passed for a career-high 333 yards -- 189 in a big third quarter -- and junior running back Mark Walton rushed for a career-high 204 yards to lead No. 14 Miami to a 52-30 victory over Toledo on Saturday.

Rosier completed 11 of 14 passes in the third quarter, including a 10-yard touchdown pass to receiver Dayall Harris and a 55-yarder to receiver Braxton Berrios to set up another score, to rally the Hurricanes (2-0) from a 16-10 halftime deficit.

Rosier hit Berrios with a 19-yard touchdown pass on the first play of the fourth quarter and tight end Christopher Herndon with a 2-yarder on the ensuing series before capping his evening with a 23-yard touchdown run.

Quarterback Logan Woodside passed for 342 yards and three touchdowns for the Rockets (3-1), two in the fourth quarter, and also hit on one of two two-point conversion attempts.

Walton scored on a 44-yard run on Miami's first series and had rushed for 154 yards by halftime, but he left the game in the second quarter and didn't return until late in the third.

Toledo climbed out of an early 10-0 hole on the strength of a dominant second quarter. Kicker Jameson Vest got the Rockets on the scoreboard with a pair of field goals, then Woodside found receiver Jon'Vea Johnson wide open down the right sideline for a 37-yard touchdown pass.

The Rockets added another field goal as time ran out in the half after Vest got a second chance when Miami was called for being offside on his miss from 37 yards. He was good from 32 on his second try, and Toledo went to the locker room up 16-10 at the break.

NOTES: Miami RB Mark Walton had the 10th 100-yard rushing game of career, with runs of 82 and 44 yards spurring him to 139 yards after just five carries. ... Toledo entered the game as the fourth-most penalized team in the country and lived up to that dubious distinction early in the game. The Rockets had three penalties (two false starts and delay of game) on their first two series, then a key false start on fourth-and-goal from the Miami 2 that forced them to settle for a field goal. ... QB Logan Woodside's fumble on the final play of the third quarter was Toledo's first lost fumble since Sept. 2, 2016, against Arkansas State. It ended the Rockets' streak of 15 games without a lost fumble.
