The Crimson Tide, who posted a 24-7 victory over the Seminoles, retained their No. 1 ranking by securing 60 of 61 first-place votes in the first Top 25 poll of the regular season, which was released Tuesday.

USC dropped two spots to No. 6 despite posting a 49-31 victory over Western Michigan, while Washington moved up one to No. 7.

Michigan, which overcame a halftime deficit to post a 33-17 victory over Florida, moved to No. 8 while Wisconsin and Florida State round out the top 10.
