Heisman Trophy winner Lamar Jackson of Louisville headed the 2016 Associated Press All-America college football team announced on Monday. Jackson, who on Saturday night became the youngest player to win the Heisman Trophy, guided the Cardinals to a 9-3 mark by throwing 30 touchdown passes and rushing for 21 other scores.

The 19-year-old sophomore completed 57.6 percent of his passes for 3,390 yards and rushed for 1,538 yards to become the first player in FBS history to throw for at least 3,300 yards and rush for at least 1,500.
It capped the latest in a series of honors for Jackson, who last week also won the Maxwell and Walter Camp awards as the nation's best player
Jackson was joined on the 25-member first team by two other Heisman Trophy finalists -- wide receiver Dede Westbrook of Oklahoma and linebacker Jabril Peppers of Michigan.
Westbrook enjoyed a sensational senior season for the Sooners, catching 74 passes for 1,465 yards and a school-record 16 touchdowns. He is fourth in the country in receiving yards per game (122.1).
Peppers, the first defensive player since former Notre Dame linebacker Manti Te'o in 2012 to be invited to New York for the Heisman Trophy ceremony, was utilized all over the field by Michigan. He led the Big Ten and finished 10th in the country with 14.8 yards per punt return this season.
Texas' D'Onta Foreman, who led the nation with 2,028 rushing yards, and Florida State's Dalvin Cook were the first-team running backs. Foreman won the Doak Walker Award as the nation's best running back, while Cook ran for 1,620 yards and 18 touchdowns en route to breaking the school's career rushing mark set by Warrick Dunn.
Rounding out the skill positions on offense were Western Michigan star wideout Corey Davis and Mississippi tight end Evan Engram.
Alabama left tackle Cam Robinson, the Outland Trophy recipient, headed an offense line that included tackle Ryan Ramczyk (Wisconsin), guards Cody O'Connell (Washington State) and Dan Feeney (Indiana), and center Pat Elflein (Ohio State). Curtis Samuel of Ohio State was named the all-purpose player and Arizona State's Zane Gonzalez was the kicker.
Another member of top-ranked Alabama, Bednarik Award winner Jonathan Allen, headed a defensive front that included a freshman in fellow tackle Ed Oliver (Houston) along with defensive ends Myles Garrett (Texas A&M) and Derek Barnett (Tennessee).
Peppers was joined at linebacker by Reuben Foster (Alabama) and Zach Cunningham (Vanderbilt), while a teammate of Peppers, Jourdan Lewis. was opposite Southern California's Adoree' Jackson at cornerback.
Sophomores Malik Hooker (Ohio State) and Minkah Fitzpatrick (Alabama) got the nod at safety while Mitch Wishnowsky (Utah) was the punter.
