LOUISVILLE, Ky., Sept. 17 (UPI) -- In the late 90's it was Virginia Tech quarterback Michael Vick scorching defenses and putting up never-seen-before statistics.
Now it's Louisville quarterback Lamar Jackson's turn.

LOUISVILLE, Ky., Sept. 17 (UPI) -- In the late 90's it was Virginia Tech quarterback Michael Vick scorching defenses and putting up never-seen-before statistics. Now it's Louisville quarterback Lamar Jackson's turn.
And Vick is holding the door wide open.
Jackson's No. 10 Cardinals annihilated No. 2 Florida State Saturday 63-20. The sophomore ran for 146 yards and four touchdowns, while completing 13-of-20 passes for 216 yards and another score.

Vick responded on Twitter by saying Jackson was five times better than he was in college.
"Lamar Jackson 5x better than what I was at V-Tech....Enough said!! #future," Vick tweeted.
Jackson has passed for 913 yards and eight scores, while rushing for 464 yards and 10 touchdowns in just three games this season. He has a streak of five straight games with 100 rushing yards and 100 passing yards.
Vick completed 192-of-343 passes, for 3,299 yards, 21 touchdowns, and 11 interceptions in two seasons at Virginia Tech. He also had 1,299 rushing yards and 17 rushing scores in 22 career college games.
As a freshman last season, Jackson completed 135-of-247 passes, for 1,840 yards, 12 touchdowns, and eight interceptions. He also rushed for 960 yards and 11 touchdowns.
