Suspended USC linebacker Osa Masina has been charged with one count of first-degree rape and two counts of first-degree forcible sodomy in the state of Utah.

The charges involve a woman that Masina is accused of assaulting in both California and Utah, where Masina's family lives. Masina has not been charged in the California case, which allegedly occurred in Los Angeles.

Masina reportedly surrendered to police on Thursday and was booked into Salt Lake County jail. Bail was set at $250,000 and it was posted Thursday. He has been banned from the USC campus.

Masina allegedly sent pictures and video of one of the attacks to the woman's ex-boyfriend.

USC linebacker Don Hill was also suspended for his role in the Los Angeles incident. He hasn't yet been charged with a crime.

The victim, according to a warrant, claimed Masina gave her Xanax and alcohol at a USC fraternity party on July 14 before taking her to Hill's apartment, where the two players allegedly raped the woman. Masina allegedly then raped the woman again in Cottonwood Heights, Utah, on July 26, according to the warrant.

Masina and Hill both missed USC's first two games due to the incident. Trojans coach Clay Helton announced Tuesday that both players were suspended.

"Based on additional information obtained by the university, Osa Masina and Don Hill have been suspended from participation with USC Athletics and the football team," USC said in a statement. "To protect the rights of the students and comply with federal privacy laws no other details will be provided."

Masina was a highly touted player in his freshman year, committing to USC in January 2015 after having his pick of several top-level universities.
