Arizona dismissed running back Orlando Bradford after the sophomore was arrested Wednesday and charged with seven felonies in an alleged domestic-violence incident.
Bradford was charged with four felony counts of aggravated assault and three counts of felony kidnapping.
The alleged victim notified police early Wednesday morning and officers noticed the injuries. She said she had been assaulted several times over the previous few days.
Bradford was dismissed from the program shortly after Arizona coach Rich Rodriguez learned of his arrest.
"Earlier today, we were made aware that Orlando Bradford had been arrested. As a result of his actions, he has been dismissed from the program," Rodriguez said in a statement released Wednesday.
Bradford had five carries for 16 yards in two games this season.
