CLEMSON, S.C., Aug. 9 (UPI) -- College football's best quarterback became the first gunslinger in FBS history to throw for 4,000 yards while rushing for 1,000 yards in a season last year for Clemson.

Now he is reaping the benefits of superstardom. Deshaun Watson will appear on the cover of the upcoming Sports Illustrated college football preview issue.

The 20-year-old completed 333-of-491 passes for 4,109 yards, 35 touchdowns and 13 interceptions last season. He rushed for 1,105 yards and 12 scores. Watson was named the ACC Player of the Year, ACC Offensive Player of the Year, consensus All-American, and took home the Davey O'Brien Award.

But the junior hasn't let the spotlight leave preparation in the shade.

This weekend, Clemson released a video, showing how freakishly athletic its quarterback remains. Clemson's Twitter post has the caption "QB1 #Clemson" and features Watson shirtless and making one handed catches out of a passing machine.

Watson is listed at 6-foot-2, 210 pounds on the Clemson website. He led the Tigers to a 14-1 record and an appearance in the College Football Playoff National Championship Game last season.
