COL FB: Missouri 36, Florida 17

COLUMBIA, Mo., Oct. 19 (UPI) -- Freshman Maty Mauk threw for a touchdown and ran for another in his first start Saturday, sparking 14th-ranked Missouri to a 36-17 win over No. 22 Florida.

Mauk, subbing for injured starter James Franklin, tossed for 295 yards with an interception on 18-of-36 efficiency as the Tigers (7-0, 3-0 SEC) forged a two-game lead atop the SEC Eastern Division.

Henry Josey ran the ball 18 times for 136 yards and a touchdown in the victory.

The Gators (4-3, 3-2), meanwhile, dropped a second straight as Tyler Murphy was held to just 92 passing yards on 15-of-29 passing with an interception.

Kelvin Taylor ran for Florida's only offensive touchdown, finishing with 74 rushing yards on 12 carries.
