LEXINGTON, Ky., Oct. 13 (UPI) -- T.J. Yeldon ran for 124 yards and two touchdowns Saturday, helping top-ranked Alabama overcome a slow start to rout Kentucky 48-7.
Yeldon carried the ball 16 times and Kenyan Drake also scored twice, racking up 106 rushing yards on 14 tries, as the Crimson Tide (6-0, 3-0 SEC) blew open a scoreless game with 24 straight points in the second quarter.
AJ McCarron passed for 359 yards with a touchdown on 21-of-35 efficiency for Alabama, which outgained the Wildcats 668-170 in the one-sided win.
Kevin Norwood led the Tide's receiving corps with four catches for 81 yards and a score.
Kentucky (1-5, 0-3) dropped to 2-36-1 all-time against Alabama as Maxwell Smith was held to 7-of-16 passing for 76 yards and a touchdown.
