Alabama No. 1 but Oregon is new No. 2

MCLEAN, Va., Sept. 9 (UPI) -- Alabama remains No. 1 but Oregon edges past Ohio State for the second spot in the USA Today Coaches' college football poll.

Alabama (1-0), going into a game against No. 6 Texas A&M, is again listed first on 58 of the 62 ballots from the voting coaches. It's the SEC opener for both the Crimson Tide and Aggies. A&M defeated Alabama 29-24 in 2012, the only loss for the Crimson Tide in a BCS title season.
