CHAMPAIGN, Ill., Nov. 19 (UPI) -- Montee Ball racked up 224 rushing yards and scored twice Saturday, powering No. 13 Wisconsin to a 28-17 victory over Illinois.
Ball made 38 carries and reached 30 touchdowns for the season, becoming just the fifth player in FBS history to accomplish the feat.
He also collected a 5-yard scoring pass as the Badgers (9-2, 5-2 Big Ten) rebounded from a 17-7 halftime deficit and put themselves in position to clinch the Big Ten's Leaders Division with a victory over Penn State next week.
Russell Wilson went 10-of-13 through the air for 90 yards and a touchdown for Wisconsin.
Illinois (6-5, 2-5) was led by Nathan Scheelhaase, who completed 15-of-19 passes for 99 yards and an interception as the Illini dropped their fifth straight.
