WHITNEY, Nev., Nov. 6 (UPI) -- Kellen Moore hurled five TDs Saturday, leading No. 5 Boise State to a 48-21 win over Nevada-Las Vegas and becoming the winningest quarterback in NCAA history.
Moore's 5-yard scoring strike to Matt Miller with 53 seconds left in the first half broke a 14-14 tie and triggered 34 straight Boise State points, during which he hooked up with Tyler Shoemaker on TD tosses of 51 and 5 yards.
Moore finished 18-of-31 through the air for 224 and no interceptions for the Broncos (8-1, 3-0 Mountain West), improving to 46-2 as a starter and surpassing former record-holder Colt McCoy of Texas in all-time wins.
Matt Miller also hauled down two TD tosses and D.J. Harper racked up 109 yards and a score on 13 carries as the Broncos took their eighth straight game.
Caleb Herring completed 12-of-17 passes for 114 yards and a score for UNLV (2-6, 1-2).
