COL FB: Virginia Tech 26, Arkansas St. 7

BLACKSBURG, Va., Sept. 17 (UPI) -- Logan Thomas threw for two touchdowns Saturday and No. 12 Virginia Tech engineered a 26-7 victory over Arkansas State.

Thomas amassed 292 yards through the air and David Wilson racked up 88 rushing yards and a TD for the Hokies (3-0).

D.J. Coles had 61 yards on two catches, including a 49-yard touchdown off a short pass, while Danny Coale made seven grabs for 128 yards, including a 4-yard TD, in the Virginia Tech victory.

Ryan Aplin went 16-of-36 for 205 yards but was picked off twice for the Red Wolves (1-2), also adding 53 rushing yards and Arkansas State's lone touchdown.
