Dec. 18 (UPI) -- A 3-year-old sang the national anthem before a Syracuse women's basketball game against Niagara, becoming the youngest singer in Carrier Dome history.

Drake Grillo of Auburn, N.Y., had the honor on Monday. He walked up to half-court while sporting an oversized No. 44 Syracuse jersey. He immediately started showing off his vocal range while his mom crouched nearby.

The Orange beat the Purple Eagles 94-45.

Grillo got a large round of applause after completing the song. But this isn't the first time the toddler has wow a crowd with his pipes.

Grillo also sang the song before three minor league baseball games last summer in Cayuga County, N.Y.

More than 6,000 people attended the Orange victory for the largest crowd of the season and the third-highest attended game in program history. Several players gave Grillo fist bumps following the energetic rendition.

Redshirt senior forward Miranda Drummond led the Orange with a game-high 19 points in the win.
