By Alex Butler

Nov. 23 (UPI) -- Senior guard Kerwin Roach threw down one of the best dunks of Thanksgiving in Texas' upset of North Carolina.

The Longhorns star dropped the hammer in the second half of the 92-89 victory on Thursday at the Orleans Center in Paradise, Nevada. Texas led 71-65 before the dunk.

Roach dribbled in from beyond the 3-point line on the play. The 6-foot-4, 180-pound guard eventually picked up his dribble and soared through the air, pulling the ball way back in his right hand while jumping into 6-foot-9 Tar Heels guard Cameron Johnson.

Roach finished the powerful flush by throwing ferociously throwing the ball through the rim.

"We gotta make them believe," Roach told Fox Sports. "That's what we always preach. We have something to prove. We have a chip on our shoulder."

Roach scored a team-high 32 points in the win. He also had seven assists, six rebounds and four steals for the Longhorns. Coby White led the Tar Heels with 33 points.

Texas battles Michigan State at 6:30 p.m. on Friday in Paradise.
