Nov. 19 (UPI) -- Junior guard Carsen Edwards went sky-high for a left-handed slam in Purdue's loss to Virginia Tech at the Charleston Classic.
Edwards elevated for the flush in the second half of the 89-83 loss to the Hokies on Sunday at TD Arena in Boston. He handled the ball just past half-court on the left flank, dribbling against a defender before getting him off-balance and blowing by.
Edwards then took one dribble over the 3-point line before picking up the ball and rocking it back in his left hand. He came back strong, springing his arm forward and slamming the ball through the rim. The score gave the Boilermakers a 56-51 lead at the time.
Edwards scored a game-high 26 points in the loss. Nickeil Alexander-Walker led the Hokies with 25 points.
