Feb. 16 (UPI) -- Freshman forward Nahziah Carter jumped over his Washington teammate before throwing down a huge slam dunk against Utah.

Carter pulled off the jam in the second half of the Huskies' 70-58 loss Thursday at Hec Edmundson Pavilion in Seattle, Wash.

The Huskies had the ball with 6:48 remaining in the game. Hameir Wright attempted a 3-pointer from the right corner, but the shot bounced off of the rim.

A Utes defender and Huskies forward Noah Dickerson were fighting for position under the rim, waiting for a rebound. But Carter had other ideas.

The 6-foot-6, 205-pound freshman jumped over his teammate, bracing his knees on Dickerson's back.

He caught the basketball well outside of the rim with his left hand and brought it back in for a big-time dunk. The basket got the Huskies to within six points of the lead and ignited the Huskies' bench.

Carter had five points and three rebounds in the loss. David Collette scored a game-high 22 points for the Utes. Carter is averaging 4.8 points and 1.7 rebounds in 13.7 minutes per game this season.

"They executed down the stretch when we didn't," Washington coach Mike Hopkins said after the game. "It's one of those things, you know you have an eight-point lead and it disappears in how long? You're watching it and you know you're trying to pick up the pieces and trying to regroup. You're trying to put different guys in, you're looking for energy. "
