UCLA opens its season against Georgia Tech on Friday (American time) in Shanghai.

"We are aware of a situation involving UCLA student-athletes in Hangzhou, China," UCLA said in a statement. "The University is cooperating fully with local authorities on this matter, and we have no further comment at this time."

LiAngelo Ball is the younger brother of Lonzo, who starred at UCLA last season before being the No. 2 overall NBA draft pick by the Los Angeles Lakers.

Police also questioned three Georgia Tech players at the hotel but made no arrests.

"During the questioning, it was determined that Georgia Tech student-athletes were not involved in the activities being investigated," Georgia Tech said in a statement. "They have resumed their scheduled activities in advance of Saturday's season opener (China time) versus UCLA in Shanghai."
