Freshman forward Braxton Key of Alabama is planning to enter the NBA Draft, the school announced on Monday.

Key, who led the Crimson Tide in scoring with an average of 12.0 points per game, will not hire an agent, giving him an option to return to the school. The deadline to remain in the draft is May 24.

The 6-foot-8, 225-pound Key, who also averaged 5.7 rebounds per game last season, scored in double figures a team-high 20 times.

A native of Charlotte, N.C., Key was selected to the All-Southeastern Conference Freshman Team. His numbers improved in conference play, with averages of 14.0 points and 6.1 boards.

Key was named SEC Freshman of the Week on Jan. 30 after collecting a total of 45 points and 18 rebounds in victories over Georgia and Mississippi State.
