Arizona freshman forward Lauri Markkanen announced Thursday that he is entering the NBA draft.
The 7-foot native of Finland averaged 15.6 points and 7.2 rebounds in his lone college season. He is projected to be selected 10th overall by NBADraft.net.

"I think I'm ready to go and do my best," Markkanen told reporters.
Wildcats coach Sean Miller said it was the right decision due to how high Markkanen will be chosen.
"His greatest strength is he focuses on the team and he's trying to win," Miller said. "His play speaks for itself. It's bittersweet today. Anytime you see somebody recognize his dreams and you see the bright, bright future. He's given us a lot and hopefully we've given him something he can always remember."
