March 27 (UPI) -- With five Elite 8 losses in Bill Self's 14-year tenure, Kansas fans were quick to acknowledge its trend of postseason disappointment.

That included the local police department. The Jayhawks lost 74-60 on Saturday to Oregon in the Elite 8. After the contest, the Lawrence Police Department tweeted: "Well, at least we have a lot of experience dealing with fans after an #Elite8 loss. Get home safely Jayhawk fans."

Self is now 2-7 in the Elite 8. The Jayhawks have advanced to just one Final Four when it has been a No. 1 seed.

"Reading our @ mentions while still thinking about the game. No new disturbances to report. Alls quiet downtown," the Lawrence Police Department tweeted.

The Jayhawks lost the National Championship in 2012. It last won that contest in 2008. The Jayhawks were 0-2 in the National Championship during Roy Williams' tenure.
