CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va., Feb. 11 (UPI) -- Joe Harris netted 19 points and hit three late free throws Monday, helping No. 16 Virginia turn back Maryland 61-53 Monday for an eighth straight win.
Malcolm Brogdon added 14 points and Akil Mitchell supplied 13 with six rebounds for the Cavaliers (20-5, 11-1 ACC), whose winning streak against conference foes is their longest since 1982-83.

The game was the last between the teams as members of the Atlantic Coast Conference -- Maryland is leaving for the Big 10 starting next season.
The Terrapins (14-11, 6-6) were paced by Seth Allen with 15 points
Dez Wells added 12 points with four assists.
