COL BKB: Texas 81, Kansas 69

AUSTIN, Texas, Feb. 1 (UPI) -- Isaiah Taylor put in 23 points and Texas defeated another ranked opponent Saturday, downing No. 7 Kansas 81-69 for a sixth straight win.

Jonathan Holmes added 22 points and DeMarcus Holland grabbed 11 rebounds as Longhorns (17-4, 6-2 Big 12) handed the Jayhawks their first conference loss of the season.

Texas had earlier defeated Iowa State, Kansas State and Baylor -- all of whom were ranked at the time. They notched another big win by holding Kansas to just 38.5 percent shooting from the field.

Wayne Selden totaled 21 points for the Jayhawks (16-5, 7-1), who had their seven-game winning streak ended.

Standout freshman Andrew Wiggins was limited to seven points on 2-of-12 shooting.
