LOUISVILLE, Ky., Dec. 14 (UPI) -- Russ Smith scored 14 points and had 10 assists Saturday in No. 4 Louisville's 79-63 win over in-state rival Western Kentucky.
Smith was one of five Louisville (9-1) players in double figures in the Cardinals' fourth consecutive victory.
Mangok Mathiang scored 13 points in the win. Wayne Blackshear and Tim Henderson both scored 12 with Henderson going 4-for-6 from 3-point range.
Louisville led 31-28 at halftime and shot 50.8 percent from the field for the game. Western Kentucky shot 36.4 percent.
T.J. Price led Western Kentucky (5-4) with 22 points. Chris Harrison-Docks scored 10 off the bench for the Hilltoppers, who have lost two of their last three games.
