COL BKB: Connecticut 72, Boston College 70

NEW YORK, Nov. 21 (UPI) -- DeAndre Daniels put in 23 points and Shabazz Napier added 20 Thursday in No. 18 Connecticut's 72-70 win over Boston College in New York.

UConn (5-0) held on for the victory when Ryan Boatright blocked a 3-point try by the Eagles' Lonnie Jackson at the buzzer.

Boatright and Omar Calhoun each supplied nine points as the Huskies took a win at the 2K Sports Classic at Madison Square Garden, putting them into Friday's championship game.

Boston College (1-4) was led by Ryan Anderson with 22 points.

Olivier Hanlan added 19 for the Eagles.
