LOUISVILLE, Ky., July 10 (UPI) -- Injured University of Louisville guard Kevin Ware should be able to return to the team in October, Cardinals coach Rick Pitino says.

Ware broke his leg in March in an Elite Eight game against Duke.

Pitino said that Ware is on schedule to be healed in the next month and he is working out in a limited capacity, The (Louisville, Ky.) Courier-Journal reported Tuesday.

Another player, rising senior Russ Smith, isn't hurt, the coach said, despite a photo Smith posted online of himself wearing a shoulder harness after he fell off a moped.

Pitino laughed as he said of Smith, "basically, he's a faker, so we don't pay too much attention to him."
