COL BKB: Michigan 78, Va. Commonwealth 53

AUBURN HILLS, Mich., March 23 (UPI) -- Michigan had four starters in double figures Saturday in a 78-53 rout of Virginia Commonwealth that moved the Wolverines to the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Tournament.

Mitch McGary led fourth-seeded Michigan (28-7) with 21 points and 14 rebounds, and Michigan shot 51.7 percent from the field and outrebounded VCU (27-9) 41-24.

McGary hit 10-of-11 shots. Trey Burke added 18 points and Glenn Robinson and Tim Hardaway both tallied 14.

The fifth-seeded Rams shot 39.7 percent from the field. Juvonte Reddic led the scoring with 16 points and Treveon Graham scored 11.
