COL BKB: SEC Tournament Roundup

NASHVILLE, March 16 (UPI) -- No. 11 Florida and Mississippi, which hasn't advanced to the title game in 12 years, will meet in the SEC Tournament final after each logged a win Saturday.

In Saturday's first semifinal, Kenny Boynton scored 16 points, all in the second half, to help Florida beat Alabama.

Boynton shook off a slow start to the tournament to sink six of his nine shots down the stretch for the Gators (26-6), who erased a 10-point deficit.

Boynton netted 11 straight during a decisive 15-0 run.

Trevor Releford led the Crimson Tide (21-12) with 12 points.

Meanwhile, Marshall Henderson pumped in 23 points as Mississippi advanced with a 64-52 win over Vanderbilt in Saturday's second semifinal.

The Rebels (25-8) also got a big game from Reginald Buckner, who provided 15 points and nine rebounds.

Murphy Holloway helped out with 12 points and eight boards as Ole Miss reached the SEC finals for the first time since 2001.

The Rebels are seeking their first NCAA Tournament bid since 2002.

The Commodores (16-17) were led by Kedren Johnson with 12 points.
