WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind., Feb. 9 (UPI) -- Branden Dawson helped keep eighth-ranked Michigan State on a hot streak with 20 points Saturday and the Spartans dominated Purdue 78-65.
Dawson connected on seven of his nine shots.

Keith Appling and Derrick Nix each scored 17 points and Adreian Payne added 12 as Michigan State (20-4, 9-2 Big Ten) won for the ninth time in 10 games.
The Boilermakers (12-12, 5-6) got 20 points from Terone Johnson.
