COL BKB: Gonzaga 82, Pepperdine 56

SPOKANE, Wash., Feb. 8 (UPI) -- Kevin Pangos and Kyle Dranginis combined to make seven 3-pointers Thursday and No. 6 Gonzaga overcame lukewarm shooting to defeat Pepperdine 82-56.

The Bulldogs made almost as many shots from long range (12) than they did from inside the arc (14) while keeping their lead in the West Coast Conference.

Gonzaga won for the 13th time in their last 14 games, the lone loss in that stretch coming against Butler.

Pangos scored 14 points and had four 3-pointers. Dranginis had three long-range shots among his 11 points and Kelly Olynyk added 13 points and five rebounds.

Gonzaga made only 41 percent of its shots through the game's first 30 minutes before a late flurry pushed them past the 80-point mark. The Bulldogs improved to 22-2 and are 9-0 in conference play, a half game in front of St. Mary's.

Stacy Davis scored 16 for Pepperdine (10-13, 2-8).
