ALBUQUERQUE, March 17 (UPI) -- Jordan Taylor drained the decisive 3-pointer Saturday, lifting Wisconsin to a 60-57 win over Vanderbilt in the NCAA Tournament's East Region.
Taylor's shot came after the fourth-seeded Badgers (26-9) had missed four consecutive 3-point tries in the closing minutes and propelled them into the Sweet 16 for the second straight year.
Taylor finished with 14 points. Ben Brust and Ryan Evans each added 11 for the Badgers, who now go on to play top-seeded Syracuse in the regional semifinals.
Fifth-seeded Vanderbilt (25-11) got 14 points and 11 rebounds from Festus Ezeli.
