Missouri claims Big 12 tourney crown

KANSAS CITY, Mo., March 10 (UPI) -- Kim English was one of five Missouri players with at least 15 points Saturday and the No. 5 Tigers topped Baylor 90-75 in the Big 12 title game.

The Tigers shot 52 percent from the field to down a Baylor team that had stunned No. 3 Kansas Friday in the semifinals.

Missouri will make its fourth consecutive trip to the NCAA Tournament. The Tigers were eliminated by Cincinnati in the first round last season.

English had 19 points, Michael Dixon came off the bench to score 17 and Marcus Denmon, Phil Pressey and Ricardo Ratliffe all had 15.

Baylor was within five with 2:20 to play but Missouri closed the game on a 13-3 run.

Missouri (30-4) made 25-of-31 attempts from the foul line. Baylor was called for 24 fouls to 17 for the Tigers.

Perry Jones III scored 16 points to lead Baylor (27-7).
