WASHINGTON, Feb. 27 (UPI) -- Georgetown's Greg Whittington notched 15 points off the bench Monday and the No. 12 Hoyas used a tough defense to shut down 19th-ranked Notre Dame 59-41.
Jason Clark contributed 13 points and Henry Sims had 12 with six rebounds for the Hoyas (22-6, 12-5 Big East), who held Notre Dame to only 18 first-half points.

Otto Porter hauled down 10 rebounds as Georgetown collected its fourth win in five contests.
Eric Atkins and Scott Martin each had nine points for the Fighting Irish (20-10, 12-5), who managed only 33.3 percent (16-of-48) shooting from the field in dropping their second straight.
