COL BKB: Wisconsin 68, Minnesota 61 (OT)

MINNEAPOLIS, Feb. 9 (UPI) -- Ryan Evans scored four of Wisconsin's six straight points to open the overtime period Thursday and the No. 22 Badgers fought off Minnesota 68-61.

Wisconsin won its seventh out of eight games after Minnesota's Andre and Austin Hollins each missed jump shots in the final seconds of regulation.

After the Badgers ran off six points in a row to begin the extra period, Minnesota could get no closer than four. The Gophers were shut out for the first 3:33 of overtime.

Jordan Taylor scored 27 points for Wisconsin and hit five of the Badgers' nine 3-pointers. Evans added 17 points and 11 rebounds. Wisconsin climbed to 19-6 for the season and is 8-4 in Big Ten Conference play.

The Gophers (17-8, 5-7 Big Ten) got 20 points off the bench from Andre Hollins and 16 from Rodney Williams.

The Badgers won despite shooting only 35 percent from the field, but they made 21-of-25 from the foul line.
