MADISON, Wis., Feb. 4 (UPI) -- Jared Sullinger struck for 24 points Saturday and third-ranked Ohio State cemented its hold on the Big Ten's top spot with a 58-52 win over co-No. 20 Wisconsin.
Sullinger also grabbed 10 rebounds for the Buckeyes (20-3, 8-2 Big Ten), who came into the contest with only a half-game lead over the Badgers atop the conference standings.
The Buckeyes also notched their first victory in Madison since 2000.
Ryan Evans netted 14 points while Jordan Taylor added 12 and six assists for the Badgers (18-6, 7-4).
