COL BKB: Florida State 68, Georgia Tech 54

TALLAHASSEE, Fla., Feb. 1 (UPI) -- Michael Snaer's long-distance shooting helped Florida State dominate in the second half Wednesday and the No. 21 Seminoles rolled past Georgia Tech 68-54.

Snaer made 5-of-7 from beyond the arc and scored 21 points in leading Florida State to its sixth consecutive victory.

A 16-6 run early in the second period allowed the Seminoles to break open what had been a one-point game at halftime.

Bernard Jones chipped in 13 points for the Seminoles (15-6, 6-1 Atlantic Coast Conference), who are tied for the league lead with North Carolina. Duke is a half game behind.

Georgia Tech (8-14, 1-7) lost its sixth straight. Brandon Reed scored 18 for the Yellow Jackets.
