COL BKB: Ohio State 64, Michigan 49

COLUMBUS, Ohio, Jan. 29 (UPI) -- Lenzelle Smith Jr. netted 17 points Sunday and third-ranked Ohio State took possession of the Big Ten Conference lead with a 64-49 victory over No. 22 Michigan.

Smith also grabbed 12 rebounds for the Buckeyes (19-3, 7-2 Big Ten), who broke open a close game with a 14-2 run midway through the second half.

Jared Sullinger added 13 points as Ohio State notched its fourth straight win and established a one-game lead over the Wolverines in the conference standings.

Tim Hardaway Jr. paced Michigan (16-6, 6-3) with 15 points.

The Wolverines dropped their sixth consecutive decision to the Buckeyes.
