DURHAM, N.C., Jan. 28 (UPI) -- Ryan Kelly scored 16 points and Mason Plumlee added 15 to go along with his 17 rebounds in sixth-ranked Duke's 83-76 win over St. John's Saturday.
Kelly sank a pair of late free throws that kept Duke (18-3) in control after the Red Storm (9-12) had pulled to within four.
Andre Dawkins added 14 points and fellow guard Austen Rivers scored 12 in the Blue Devils' second consecutive victory.
Duke's lead was more than 20 points during the game and remained in double figures heading into the final 3 minutes.
Moe Harkless led St. John's with 30 points and D'Angelo Harris added 21. The Red Storm was a tepid 11-of-21 from the free-throw line.
