COL BKB: Indiana 74, Ohio State 70

BLOOMINGTON, Ind., Dec. 31 (UPI) -- Victor Oladipo's reverse layup with 36 seconds remaining Saturday put the Hoosiers ahead and No. 15 Indiana hung on to upset second-ranked Ohio State 74-70.

Indiana trailed by one, 70-69, with under a minute to play when Verdell Jones III stole the ball from Ohio State's Aaron Craft. Jones got it down court to Oladipo for the decisive basket for the Hoosiers (13-1, 1-1 Big Ten).

Jordan Hulls sank an insurance foul shot with 13.4 seconds to go and Ohio State's William Buford missed a contested 3-pointer on the other end as the clock ran down.

The victory, combined with Indiana's Dec. 10 win over then-top-ranked Kentucky, gave the Hoosiers decisions over the nation's No. 1 and 2 teams in the same season for the first time in school history.

Craft finished with 16 points, five rebounds and four assists. Jared Sullinger added 15 points and nine boards for the Buckeyes (13-2, 1-1).
