COL BKB: Xavier 66, Purdue 63

CINCINNATI, Dec. 3 (UPI) -- Xavier' Tu Holloway scored 11 of his 21 points down the stretch Saturday and the 11th-ranked Musketeers rallied for a 66-63 victory over Purdue.

Trailing by 19 points with 10:45 left in the contest, the Musketeers (6-0) began a comeback capped when Holloway personally accounted for his team's final 11 points, including a go-ahead 3-pointer with 1:05 remaining.

Robbie Hummel connected on a free throw that tied the score at 61-61, but Holloway stuck again with another trey and later added a pair of foul shots with 21.7 seconds left to ice the victory.

Xavier (6-0) extended its home winning streak to 13 straight when Purdue's Lewis Jackson and Terone Johnson both missed from long range in the closing seconds.

Mark Lyons scored 14 as the Musketeers overcame 18 turnovers in a rough first half.

Hummel finished 17 points and seven rebounds for Purdue (7-2) while Jackson donated 12 points, six rebounds, four assists and four steals.
