SOCHI, Russia, Feb. 18 (UPI) -- The Twitter account @Sochiproblems now has more followers than the official English Olympic Twitter account @Sochi2014.
As of Tuesday afternoon, Sochi problems had 339,639 followers and the official Twitter account of the 2014 Olympics has 263,277 followers. The Sochi Problems account was created shortly after journalists began arriving in Sochi and started to document the lack of preparation and problems with their accommodations.
The Sochi Problems Twitter account shares the tweets of people running into problems, like this Canadian journalist who commented on the struggling floor tiles in the International Broadcasting Center.
