SOCHI, Russia, Feb. 14 (UPI) -- Olympic athletes are using the dating app Tinder to scope each other out and have some fun on the side of competition.

Tinder is an app that allows a person to use their GPS location to find others who would be willing to meet up for a date. Olympic athletes have been using the app in Sochi, and the app is pairing them with their fellow athletes.

Olympic gold medalist and snowboarder Jamie Anderson admits she and other female athletes have been checking out the app. "It is next level. It's hilarious. There are some real cuties out there," she said. She added that Tinder was so distracting, she deleted the app so she could focus on the competition.

It's no secret that the athletes get friendly in the Olympic village, but the event organizers try to make sure the athletes keep it safe.
