SOCHI , Russia, Feb. 11 (UPI) -- The Silver Nike jackets worn by Team USA members at the Sochi Olympics medal ceremonies are full of surprises.
Because the garments were made exclusively for medal winners, they have a secret surprise message on the inside that reads: "This is your moment." The secret was divulged in late January by Olympic speed skater Jordan Malone, who shared a picture of the inside of the jacket on his Instagram account.
"Inside the 2014 U.S. Olympic team podium jacket ... #CoveredInInspiration #Road2Sochi," he captioned the pic.
In addition to that message, the jackets have the phrase “Land of the Free” sewn into one of the pockets.
Moreover, the “USA” on the back of the jackets changes colors from red to blue depending on the light.
