Mark Mastrov, one of the new owners of the Sacramento Kings, says DeMarcus Cousins should have a mentor.

So Mastrov went to former Laker Shaquille O'Neal.

O'Neal has said on TNT several times that Cousins lacks skill in the sport, and has offered to help the budding star himself. Turns out, he wasn't kidding.

This is the same guy that used to call the Kings the "Queens," and attempted to rename Sacramento "Shaqramento."

Just three months ago, O'Neal said he thought the Kings were sold and gone at the NBA All-Star Game in Houston. Before that, O'Neal said the Kings couldn't beat the Lakers without cheating.

But O'Neal said he is able to turn fellow big-man Cousins into an NBA star and help his former rivals return to glory.

ā€œIā€™m going to make DeMarcus Cousins the best big man in the game,ā€ O'Neal said.

Owners of the Kings are meeting with O'Neal on Thursday night to discuss the arrangement.
