July 7 (UPI) -- Argentinian golfer Angel Cabrera, a previous winner of the U.S. Open and Masters tournaments, was sentenced to two years in prison Wednesday on charges he assaulted his former girlfriend.
Sources told Golf Digest and Argentine newspaper Clarin that Cabrera was convicted in his native province of Cordoba for assaulting, threatening and harassing Cecilia Torres Mana, who was Cabrera's partner between 2016-18.
