March 8 (UPI) -- Veteran golfer Phil Mickelson has fallen out of the Top 100 in the Official World Golf Ranking for the first time since 1993.

Mickelson, 50, missed last week's Arnold Palmer Invitational and dropped to No. 101 Sunday. He started the year at No. 66 in the rankings. Mickelson has missed two cuts and tied for 53rd in two other events this year.

Mickelson entered the Top 100 when he won the International in August 1993 and remained there for a record 1,425 weeks until his recent drop. He worked his way up to No. 2 for 270 weeks, but never held the No. 1 spot because of Tiger Woods' dominance.

His last victory was at the 2019 AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am. Mickelson has 44 wins and five major titles in his PGA Tour career. For years before his first major title in 2004, Mickelson was widely viewed as the best golfer never to have won one of the four majors -- the Masters, PGA Championship, U.S. Open and British Open.

Dustin Johnson holds the No. 1 spot in the current Official World Golf Ranking. Jon Rahm, Justin Thomas, Collin Morikawa and Xander Schauffele also rank inside the Top 5. Bryson DeChambeau, who won Sunday's Arnold Palmer Invitational, moved up from No. 11 to No. 6.
