Feb. 26 (UPI) -- Golf legend Tiger Woods is "recovering and in good spirits" after he underwent successful follow-up procedures on his leg injuries Friday morning, according to a statement posted to his Twitter account.
Woods had the surgeries at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, where he was transferred Wednesday night following the single-vehicle rollover crash Tuesday that left him with serious leg injuries.
"Tiger has moved to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center and received follow-up procedures on his injuries this morning," the statement read. "The procedures were successful, and he is now recovering and in good spirits.
"Tiger and his family want to thank you for all the wonderful support and messages they have received over the past few days. We will not have any further updates at this time. Thank you for your continued privacy."
On Thursday, Dr. Anish Mahajan said the 45-year-old Woods was moved from Harbor-UCLA Medical Center -- located about 18 miles south of downtown Los Angeles -- for "continuing orthopedic care and recovery."
Two days earlier, Mahajan said Woods suffered multiple "open fractures" to his lower right leg and had a rod put in his tibia. The 15-time major champion also had screws and pins inserted in his foot and ankle during the emergency surgery.
Authorities are still investigating the cause of Woods' crash that occurred near the border of Rolling Hills Estates and Rancho Palos Verdes in Southern California. Officials said Wednesday they won't pursue charges against Woods.
