Pyeongchang medal count: Norway leads with 22, USA at nine

Feb. 17 (UPI) -- Norway has earned an Olympics-leading 22 medals after eight days of competition in the 2018 Winter Games.

Germany is in second place with 17 medals in Pyeongchang, South Korea.

Canada has 15 total and the Netherlands has 13 medals. The United States, Austria, Japan and the Olympic Athletes from Russia have each claimed nine medals.
