Nov. 17 (UPI) -- Police in South Florida said more than $400,000 worth of items were stolen from tennis star Venus Williams' home while she was in New York playing in the U.S. Open.

Her Palm Beach Gardens home was burglarized sometime between Sept. 1 and Sept. 5, a police report released Thursday said. Police redacted the list of items that were taken.

Williams defeated Greek tennis player Maria Sakkari on Sept. 1, but lost six days later to Sloane Stephens of the United States.

It was a busy week for the Williams family; sister Serena Williams gave birth to her first child, Alexis Olympia Ohanian Jr., on Sept. 1.

The report was filed Sept. 5.

Three months earlier, Venus Williams was involved in a car crash in Palm Beach Gardens that caused the death of a person in the other vehicle. Williams faced no criminal charges in the crash, but the victims' family filed a civil lawsuit
